I always wanted to do the kissing noodle thing from Lady and the Tramp but when I went out with a woman who ordered spaghetti and asked I got the movie wrong and asked if she wanted to do the noodle thing from Lady and the Dalmatian which normally would’ve been corrected by someone who knew I mixed up Disney dog flicks but she was a film student and had just seen the 1938 surrealist Croatian film by Tomislav Buñuel about a woman who falls in love with a man from Dalmatia and in one scene sticks a raw spaghetti noodle up his urethra to keep him hard and long story short we only went on the one date and now I’m banned from L.A. Linguine for life.
when i first heard about the male loneliness epidemic i was like oh yeah close camaraderie and bonding between men is often discouraged in favor of competition or, if not discouraged, at least filtered through a lens of individualism that precludes deep connections. and then i learned what people meant by it (men arent getting laid) to which i say skill issue
